How can I use NDIS funding at Spectrum Healthcare?

Spectrum Healthcare, located in Sydney's North, is a top Allied Health Clinic, offering services from a team of Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Chiropractors, and Massage Therapists all under one roof. Patients also have access to an AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill. Our dedicated team uses evidence-based, best-practice approaches to tailor treatment programs that help you achieve your personal goals.

Why see an Exercise Physiologist?

We provide exercise physiology services for NDIS participants, assisting them in reaching their goals through movement-based interventions. If you're eligible for NDIS support, let our team know when scheduling your appointment. Exercise physiology is funded under "Improved Daily Living Skills" and "Improved Health and Well-being." We work with participants to create a plan that improves their ability to perform daily tasks, enhances their quality of life, and helps them manage the challenges associated with their disabilities.

We support NDIS participants with various plan management options, including:

  • Self-managed plans
  • Plan-managed plans
  • NDIS-managed plans

Exercise Physiology can address a wide variety of disabilities, including but not limited to:

  • Spinal Cord or Traumatic Brain Injuries
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • ASD/ADHD
  • Autism
  • Intellectual Disabilities
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Neuromuscular/Neuromotor Conditions

Using the AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill for NDIS

The AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill uses differential air pressure to create a lifting force, reducing the impact of gravity and body weight during movement. This decreases ground reaction forces, allowing muscles to work more safely with less strain. By reducing gravitational load to as low as 20% of body weight, we can target biomechanical issues and maintain cardiovascular fitness without overloading injury sites. The treadmill is ideal for individuals experiencing lower body pain or discomfort related to weight-bearing activities.

The Anti-Gravity Treadmill provides a supportive walking environment by minimizing gravitational impact and body weight. Programs that incorporate the treadmill can be customized to each patient's needs based on their condition and stage of recovery.
